| Sep. 2nd, 2008 08:24 pm Congradulations Bus 194 This last week I have been sent to drive another bus. Of course I miss my own kids and they miss me too, but we all agree that this bunch of students really need some guidance and rules on their bus as they are some what out of control. It appeared that way on the first day when they refused to sit in their seats, actually sat on the back of the seats and were hanging out the window and seemed to have a real problem listening. Honestly I really began to wonder if i could do this again. Mine haven't behaved like that in years. But today I decided to take the challenge, and once I had moved my most challenged (seat climbers and window hangers) to the front and everyone was sitting we were ready to leave the school. I was a bit suprised that I only had to pull over once to move a few more to the front. After that I was pleasantly surpised to find that some of these kids in fact were siblings of some of my other bus 180 bunch that had gotten shuffled to this bus after a route change. And even more than that I was very proud to see that once you get them seated they really are quite pleasant and even polite young people with manners and great potential for learning dispite the first impression they made the first day. So Bravo bus 194 and I will now look forward to driving you and working with you some more. I think they would really like to have one driver as most would, and I also think it is best if it can be that way, but as more and more drivers have to work two jobs to keep up with the inflation it is harder than ever to find full time drivers. Well see you in the AM bus 194 and 180 see you at least for a bit in the PM. Current Mood: pleased
