What's real tiffany

How do I know for sure if my tiffany co jewelry is real?

The best way is to take your piece to a Tiffany and co retail location to have them look at it. If not, look for a couple key things. Check the Tiffany Co Necklaces website for pictures of the piece you own. Compare all of the markings/stampings of your piece to the ones on the website. If any are off, or missing, you probably have a fake. Also, if your piece is sterling silver (or supposed to be) check for the appropriate metal stamp (.925 for sterling silver). There is no such thing as an "unsigned" or "unmarked" Tiffany & Co. piece. If you need more helpful tips on what to look for, Ebay has several well written "how to spot a fake" guides to look at!

Would it be strange if someone had one tiffany charm on her bracelet?

And will it also be strange if you got juicy couture charms or claire's charms on a tiffany charm bracelet with a tiffany heart charm?

It might be a lil weird if someone put a juicy charm or claire's charm on it because it is A TIFFANY bracelet.....but i dont think that it is that weird if someone only had one charm because that person wouldnt want it to be too busy and it might even have that one charm stand out more.

Is sterling silver from Tiffany's really good?

Is sterling silver from Tiffany and co really good and does it last long?

I had bought expensive sterling silver tiffany jewelry and it didn't last long at all.

I have no idea what you mean about it lasting long, if it turned black, that's tarnish, you need good silver polish and elbow grease. It should return to it's shiny state as soon as you clean it.

Tiffany Necklaces silver is some of the best made!

Who likes the Tiffany Two Hearts pendant?

Who likes the Tiffany and co Two Hearts pendant?

Do you think that the Tiffany Jewellery Two Hearts pendant would make a good gift?

My girlfriend is 5'3 and I don't know if it is too big for her.

That's really pretty. Your girlfriend would love it, since it's from discount tiffany's jewelry, it's thoughtful, and it has a heart on it. It kinda resembles you and your gf, like one heart for your gf, one heart for you. It's gorgeous.

It probably won't be too big for her, because one size fits most, and 5'3 is probably fine. She'll probably lovee you even more after you buy a $150 necklace from Tiffany's. Plus, it goes w/ anything, including jeans.

Which are mentioned in Breakfast at Tiffany's?

What are "V Letters," which are mentioned in Breakfast at Tiffany and co?

Seems like one word telegrams of sorts from service men? Any information or sources?

Conversations I have had with several veterans of WW2 indicate that v-mail was used for all personal written correspondence between civilians stateside and loved ones in uniform overseas. V-mail was part of the censorship process. tiffany jewelry Tiffany Earrings
Each letter was read by a censor who literally cut out with pair of scissors any word or phrase which might leak info to the enemy. A reduced photostat, on very lightweight official military paper, was then made of each censored letter. The photostats were mailed and the originals, cutout bits and all, were burned. Given how tight military security was during WW2, I should be surprised to find an original letter still in existence. In our collection, we have one v-mail letter from a Pacific Theatre medical officer to his wife. We keep in it a Hollinger envelope.

Question about applying for colleges?

ok i have 3.75 gpa, and 48 credits after this semester and my gpa will go up a little because im going to get straight a's.
i am going to transfer when i get 60 credits to a university, i live in florida. one of my friends was telling me how she got like 35k in grants, she lives in Illinois, because she has like a 4.3 gpa or something like that and i believe the school offered her that, where she was applying at.
i was wondering should i apply at higher schools like fsu and uf. I mean i have done community service including going to kenya for 3 months volunteering so i have good grades and volunteer experience and i want to join numerous clubs at the school. I would prefer to go to fsu but financial restraints stop me.
do you know if all universities offer you money like that because to go to uf or fsu id have to dorm and im in the lowest bracket financially for my financial aid so obviously i couldnt afford it.
thanks for your help

Searching for the perfect engagement ring

Searching for the perfect engagement ring for your girlfriend? Is she “that” one-in-a-million, deserving something that is as unique as she is? Perhaps an antique engagement ring is just what you need for that special moment when you “pop the question”. The gift of an antique engagement ring will say, with quiet subtlety, that she is the one for you, unique above all others. It will say that she is the one that you have been waiting your lifetime to find. Antique engagement rings typically refer to a ring that is over 50 years old. They are typically less expensive and yet, the craftsmanship is often much better than rings made today. An added bonus, it becomes an instant family heirloom for generations to follow. When searching for a unique antique engagement ring or “vintage engagement ring” as they are often called, request to see rings made prior to 1950.

Most Popular Eras of the Antique Engagement Ring

There are three widely recognized eras in antique engagement rings, the Victorian, the Edwardian and the Art Deco. It is best to be an informed shopper when buying antique jewelry. The Victorian period is classified between the years of 1835-1900. These rings are made of yellow or rose gold and vary from simple to elaborate designs. It wasn’t until 1886 that the classic style called the “Tiffany” was introduced. The Edwardian era generally refers to the 1900-1920’s. During this era, platinum became a popular metal choice, often set with rose cut diamonds or sapphires. It was also during this time that the use of delicate scrollwork, milgraining and filigree details gained in popularity. Art Deco began in the 1920-1930’s, an exotic and exciting time in the history of the United States and this is reflected in the jewelry and art created during this time span. The rings of this era have a wide variety of themes ranging from the Egyptian, Asian and the Native American cultures. Many contain a variety of contrasting gemstones in one setting. At the conclusion of the era, a diamond encrusted platinum setting boasting a multitude of diamonds became extremely popular. The Art Deco antique engagement ring is currently the most popular choice for newly engaged couples.

Become an Educated Shopper

It is a true fashion statement when a young couple purchases an antique engagement ring. However, it is important that they not do so without observing caution, as there is a considerable amount of information one must know prior to making a final purchase. Be cautious when buying a ring that contains a soft stone such as a pearl, emerald or opal, which may have internal damage that is not visible to the naked eye. Also, these stones will not hold up as well as a diamond for the intense damage that may occur from day-to-day wear. In addition, it is important to look closely at the craftsmanship of the antique engagement ring to insure that it is genuine and not a poor replica. In addition, if you are purchasing your ring on a budget, consider looking specifically at each ring band as many are designed to make a smaller diamond appear larger in size. When purchasing, look carefully at the written description of the piece, making sure that the details including condition, color, clarity, cut, carat, age and size are clearly stated and if possible, ask for a gemologists report. It is important to make educated decisions when buying an antique engagement ring, as it will be a significant statement on your big day.

Shopping In Apparel Stores

Some apparel stores are just too much for me. Take Old Navy for example. I like their stuff, and the prices are great, but I don't like to shop there. Not only do I feel like I have andered into the wrong store, I have to dodge salespeople the entire time I'm there. I have been asked if I would like an Old Navy card I don't know how many times, and it seems they won't take no for an answer. Apparel stores need to understand that it's ok to get people to sign up, but you really have towatch your sales tactics. For every three people they sign up, they alienate three more.
You can find apparel stores almost anywhere you look. A mall is full of them, and they are mainstays in other shopping centers as well. We all need clothing, so therefore we all need to shop in apparel stores. Most people like to shop in such stores, but for me, I always seem to loathe going inside. Not only do I feel out of touch, I feel completely and totally lost in a sea of possibilities. You might say I don't have any one style of clothing I like, I just buy what catches my eye. This leaves me spending a lot more time in apparel stores than I would like.
Some apparel stores are just too much for me. Take Old Navy for example. I like their stuff, and the prices are great, but I don't like to shop there. Not only do I feel like I have wandered into the wrong store, I have to dodge salespeople the entire time I'm there. I have been asked if I would like an Old Navy card I don't know how many times, and it seems they won't take no for an answer. Apparel stores need to understand that it's ok to get people to sign up, but you really have to watch your sales tactics. For every three people they sign up, they alienate three more.
Other apparel stores have the opposite problem. Forget finding someone to help you, and please don't even consider trying something on to see if it fits. You will either be completely ignored, or you will have someone trying to get into your dressing room with you to give you his or her opinion. Thanks, but really, I can try on my own clothes. There should be a happy medium, but most apparel stores don't seem to know what that is. Maybe they don't offer their sales staff enough guidance, or they put them under impossible pressure to sell.
I do like apparel stores like JC Penney's or Sears, just for the atmosphere. Because these stores have more than just clothing, they most definitely aren't chasing you around the store. They aren't asking you to sign up for something the moment you walk in the door. They wait until you are ready to check out before they ask, if they ask at all. I have found that when I do need help, however, it is easy enough to find someone to help. These types of apparel stores will always have my business. I hope others follow.

Replica Tiffany's Jewelry

Tiffany's is one of the most well known brand names and design houses in the tiffany jewelry business. The quality of service, customer satisfaction and the fine designs offered by the company are one of the best in their times. The company is primarily famous for its superb quality and artisanship.
However, as this amount of beauty and quality comes at a price, there are many jewelry lovers who are just not able to pay the high price and look for suitable replicas instead. This is the reason there are special designers that now offer beautifully made Replica Tiffany Necklaces and that too, at a much lower price.
The Style
The Tiffany's is one of those brands that actually mark the onset of a classic style and design on its own. Some of the designs of this brand name have become so common and popular, that they are bound to be copied by artisans all over. These replicas are created either by using a mass production technique or by an individual jewelry designer who is striving to make a name for his services and capitalize on the original designs. These kinds of procedures have made the replica business a very lucrative one, with scores of skilled designers paying close attention to these designs and producing them effortlessly with same style and appeal.
These designers also have full knowledge of the materials, metals and stones to be used to imitate the look of the real jewelry. It is a very common sight to find paste gems with plastic bezels or pendant pieces. Often, one also finds jewelry that uses a quartz crystal of a diamond or even silver instead of platinum. Such techniques are extremely useful and come handy when preparing replica Tiffany jewelry.
A Warning
It is important for genuine jewelry lovers to notice that there are fake designers who can pass off their imitations as genuine replica Tiffany jewelry. Before you actually buy jewelry, make sure there is the mark Tiffany & Co., engraved on the piece. By rule, all of replica Tiffany's jewelry carries an identification mark for the benefit of its customers.
There are also other ways that help you spot the fake pieces. For instance, one of the methods is to see whether the dealer has several sizes in one piece or if the fake platinum is excessively bright. It is always helpful to have prior knowledge of the important aspects of the replica Tiffany Bracelets to help you avoid such situations.

Luxury jeweler Tiffany & Co

Luxury jeweler Tiffany & Co. said it plans to close its unprofitable Iridesse pearl jewelry chain, partly because of a tough economy that has hindered demand for jewelry.

Tiffany spokesman Mark Aaron said Iridesse hasn't been profitable since it opened in 2004. Iridesse also generated "very modest" sales worth less than 1 percent of Tiffany Earrings total revenue, Aaron said.

"It had been posting an operating loss since it opened," Aaron said. "It might have been viable if there was a better retail environment, but the economy was the last straw."

Aaron said Iridesse stores will start closing once Tiffany is able to reach agreements with its landlords and sell off inventory. Aaron said the store closings will result in some job losses, but could not yet say how many.

"We hope to place at least some of the employees in positions at Tiffany Necklaces
Aaron said.

There are 16 Iridesse locations nationwide, Aaron said, and are located mostly on the East and West coasts.

Aaron said Iridesse's closing allows Tiffany to turn its focus to its core Tiffany brand.

Like many other retailers, Tiffany has been hurt by softness in luxury spending and continued layoffs nationwide.

On Monday, Standard & Poor's lowered its fiscal 2010 profit and sales forecast for Tiffany on economic weakness. However, S&P said it still expected Tiffany to emerge from the recession with increased market share and expansion opportunities.

In January, Tiffany said same-store sales for the holiday season slid 24 percent mostly because of softness at U.S. stores. Same-store sales, or sales at stores open at least a year, are a key indicator of retailer performance since they measure growth at existing stores rather than newly opened ones. At that time, the New York-based company also lowered its full-year profit forecast.

Looking back to the third quarter, Tiffany's earnings topped Wall Street expectations, helped by higher sales in the Asia-Pacific region and in Europe.

The company is slated to report fourth-quarter results on March 23. At that time, the company will provide more information on charges to close the stores, Aaron said.

Shares of Tiffany added 19 cents to close at $18.45. Last week, the shares hit a nine-year low of $16.70

original Tiffany item

Sometimes a particular style or name brand can generate so much interest that designers make a special effort to duplicate the appearance of jewelry items at a lower cost. The goal, of course, is to put quality discount tiffany's jewellery. items in the possession of those who could not afford the original, often unique article.

This is certainly true with the world-class Tiffany name. Tiffany’s jewelry is so recognizable for quality and workmanship that thousands of people want to wear something from the famous source. Often, the thoughts along this line are nothing more than dreams because of the cost of acquiring an original Tiffany Co Jewellery

It is much more realistic for most members of the working class to add nice jewelry pieces to their collection by purchasing replicas of Tiffany jewelry. This gives them the look of the original without the high price Tiffany Jewellery.

jewelry from Tiffany & Co.,

any people are perfectly happy buying custom jewelry from one of the fine, lesser-known craftsmen working around the world. Many of the quality items produced in these shops and studios is as well-made and beautiful as some of the products from more famous names. But there is something special about owning original designer jewelry that has created a following, a culture, unlike any other.Tiffany Bangles
This is true of jewelry from Tiffany & Co., the New York company founded 170 years ago by Charles Lewis Tiffany. In fact, some consider Tiffany to be the best example of quality and desirability in the world of designer jewelry. Even with the long history of designer jewelry, reaching back centuries, Tiffany & Co. pieces stand out among the best among fine jewelry manufacturers and artists.

Tiffany Bracelets
was first offered in the 1840s, not long after the Tiffany & Young store opened in New York. Silver-based jewelry, dressing table sets and gift items have attracted customers from the start because of the designs and because of the amazing workmanship. Demand for Tiffany jewelry was very high in the 1800s and remains so in the 21st century, even with the rather high initial cost of most pieces.

These very features - quality craftsmanship and unique design- have caused Tiffany products to be copied worldwide. This company's jewelry is, in the minds of many, the ultimate possession among designer jewelry. However, those who could not afford a Tiffany original often turn to the reasonable price of a well-made copy. While this is certainly a compromise, people around the world often wear a Tiffany imitation for an entire evening and others are none the wiser Tiffany Earrings

The Tiffany name became so famous that a movie was made with the company's name in the title. "Breakfast at Tiffany's" featured top-name actors and indicated how well-known the company had become 100 years after its inception. Today, when most people think of the name "Tiffany's" the image of exquisite jewelry comes to mind. Add to this the fine gold and platinum items from the company studio and it is no surprise that someone might ask, "Is it Tiffany?"

There are more affordable alternatives for those whose budget won't allow them to purchase an original from the New York company. Many replicas and imitations of Tiffany jewelry are, in fact, well-made and quite attractive. It would unfair to call them "cheap" because these copies are quite desirable among many jewelry wearers. "Inexpensive" might be a better label. In addition, women buy silver Tiffany jewelry as a "substitute" for the higher-priced diamond jewelry items from Tiffany. While even the Tiffany silver can be expensive, many of the pieces are within range for a larger section of the population.

Caution is the key when buying any jewelry however, because even the lower-priced silver Tiffany pieces have been copied and imitated. Those who want to display "Tiffany" but cannot afford the top-line platinum, gold and diamond pieces should take care when purchasing silver jewelry advertised as Tiffany pieces. The safest way to ensure that the item is truly a Tiffany product is to buy from the original source. Tiffany also has a Web site and the Blue book (published from the first year of jewelry offerings in 1845). . The company's products are more widely available than ever.
