04:07 pm - Disturbing This morning I did not have much time so I wrote something real quick and looked for an interesting article. I saw ref assulted and threw it up. Since it got a comment allready I read the article. Seriously, I almost got sick. I could not believe that someone would do that to someone else. I mean here is a guy who I am guessing is a former player who for the love of the game is trying to do a service for these people and he ends up in the god damn hospital. I think we have all yelled at a ref before but for a non participant to assult someone doing a public service is ridiculous. Jack was 56, one year younger then this guy, and if someone picked him up and bodyslammed him he would have been seriously injured. Christ when you get old falling down the stairs can kill you. I cannot even describe how sick and unfeeling the human race is. I just hope that guy was alright and continues calling high school games. Just really sick stuff.
Kinger- You know my bottom line with the Pitt game is, its okay to struggle and not play well. Your going to have games like that but good teams find ways to win when there having a bad game. The foul call on Krauser was a joke but he has got to give Barret room if he has 4 fouls. Pitt may have just blown their shot at a number 1 seed as Mississippi State and Gonzaga are moving on up. I am not sure about Dukovich but I remember his kids being assholes too. I think the senior Dukovich was a little older though.
Damn the man, save the empire. Continue the struggle for all us educated sports fans against the many ignorent ones. There is not many of us so making your voice heard to 30 idiots went along way to perserving the cause. Incidently, the D III nationals are in Arizona this year. Drake's St. Vince squad looks like a lock to get in. Your team however, is no where to be found among the rankings. Get your ass in gear so we can party in the valley.

If you want to continue posting stuff about college basketball, you need to stop sucking Ike Diogu's dick and maybe watch a few games. Pitt isn't just a good team this year, they are on the verge of being great. We lost one game, on the road, in double overtime and we had shots to win in both overtimes and everyone is freaking out. We played bad against notre dame and came back to win and we certainly didn't play our best against BC and we still won. Pitt always seems to find a way to win, this year more so than either of the past two years. As for your gonzaga as a possible number one seed comment, that is just not going to happen. The NCAA selection committee holds a mock draft every year in the beginning of february to get new members accostomed to the process. This meeting took place last week and Kentucky was the fourth number 1 seed, not MSU or Gonzaga. The committee also said that if Gonzaga would win out, they would end up most likely being a 4 seed. Finally, With under 10 seconds and the game tied in overtime, you claim that Krauser should give Barret room to shoot because he has four fouls. Did you really say that? There is ten seconds left in a tied ball game and you want Krauser to let Seton Hall's best play shoot uncontested because he has four fouls....you may be the only human in the world who thinks that.

Beard: I told my mother this past weekend, I was making the rounds, after hockey is over, to possibly search for a new home. 'Zona may be a stop on the tour, accompanied by the Ohio State to see Torey, UVA to see the Sigals, and anywhere else one of my friends is willing to put me up for a few days. I digress, you're right, the ACHA Div. 3 Nationals are in Arizona, but Duquesne is not Div. 3. We're Div. 1. Granted, we're not Div. 1 like Boston, Ohio State, and Minnesota, but like I said, we're not NCAA and get no love. Our nationals, which luckily the Dukes won't be qualifying for, are in Iowa, at Iowa State. And next year, they're in Illinois, at Robert Morris College. Again, no love. The Dukes are a young team. I don't know if anybody is familiar Mike Papciak (Peters Twp.) but the kid is lighting the league on fire, and I'm happy to say I'm second in scoring and points behind him. We will be in the hunt with the perennial powerhouses (PSU, URI, OU) in two years, when we get the recruits that we've got lined up. If you must know, we're 15-9 overall 10-8 in league, not where we wanted to be exactly, but an improvement from a 6 win season last year. Rome wasn't built in a day, but aparently it could have been with me and Papy there.

By the way, I did one of my most outrageous celebrations against Lehigh, at home, with some of my friends in attendance. I scored a goal took off my glove and pretended to chug it like a beer. Then when I had presumably consumed all of it's contents, I slammed it down in front of their bench. I did it cause I was getting cheap shotted all game and, as you know, I always play to put on a show for my fans. You would have liked it too, but oh yeah, you were too cool to come to any games despite me continually reminding you when we played at Shady Side, 4 minutes from your house.

Totally forgot to comment on Pitt. They played like shit and still should have won. I have to disagree with the Krauser comment about letting their hot hand take a free shot, although the call was weak. They have the ability to win from behind and win on the road, they've proven it. It's called a greasy road win, go into someone elses barn and pull one out. Last nite just wasn't Pitt's nite. Sometimes you get the bear and sometimes the bear gets you, bottom line. The shots don't fall, the boards don't come your direction, and the bounces just aren't there. Personally, I'd rather they happen during the regular season than in the Big East tournament, which I will be attending (thank you Sigals), and in March. As an athlete, you have to know what I'm saying. By the way, fuck Graves getting the ball in the clutch from this point forth, he's proved twice that he does nothing but shit the bed.
