06:00 pm - Dynamite and Guns result in Conspiracy convictions Dr. Frank Stearns Giese was a former World War II US Navy Captain in Naval Intelligence. He died August 6, 2006. He was once a national contact for the 1965 Students for a Democratic Society anti-Vietnam War protest in Washington, DC. The US Supreme Court upheld his Conspiracy to bomb government buildings conviction after 12 years of appeals.
Dr. Giese's fingerprints and several other defendants were on a book he owned that was found in a Seattle safe house. It was with bomb making pamphlets, urban warfare manuals, and a 68-stick dynamite bomb. The Government couldn't prove he put it there. Dr. Giese testified he had given the book to Max Severin. He could not prove that Severin had put the book at a house he had never visited.
Radical Education Project Book Center in Portland, Oregon was owned by Dr. Giese. It's competitor was the American Opinion Bookstore. http://www.terrorist.bravehost.com Current Mood: awake
