The meaning of HDTV is High Definition TV. The Digital HDTV Grand Alliance initiated this technology in the duration of 1990s in the United States of America first of all. It is also defined by the means of 1080 active lines, 16 x 9 aspect proportion in ITU-R BT.709.
HDTV means showcasing of widescreen picture with more refinement and sharpness than observed in normal analogue TVs, or other digital television formats. It is truly a Digital Television (DTV) showcasing format, and is considered to be the perfect quality DTV format seen.
Plasma, direct-view, rear screen, and front screen projection are various forms of HDTV displays. HDTV needs a HDTV tuner to watch and the most detailed HDTV format is 1080i. |
